Recently, I returned from girls camp after an AMAZING week at Camp LoMIA. This summer marks 20 years since I started going to camp with the Young Women of Pueblo Stake. Our camp theme this year was "I Stand All Amazed." We talked about loving and respecting the amazing creations, the amazing plan of Heavenly Father, the amazing love of our Savior. It became a time of reflection for me. I'd like to share a few things that I think are amazing.
Amazing: cobs of corn and tomatoes that can grow in Arizona heat.
You thought the corn was a high as an elephant's eye. Take a look at Melissa.

Amazing: sharing her professional painting skills.Amazing: Melissa's smile and stamina to endure. Amazing: what a fresh coat of paint can do.Amazing: Six year old's teeth, and to think that Melissa plans to clean them. Amazing: The way my grandchildren can amuse themselves. (Why is it so fun to dress up?)
Amazing: more than one helicopter pilot in the family. Oakley during the one minute rain.Amazing: We can can! (Also, I'm so amazed that Alyson taught her girls to sew. They each got to sew their own apron.)

Amazing: My dish stacking abilities.
Amazing: 96 jars of applesauce makes us tired. And quite possibly the most amazing thing that I have witnessed is our Parker boy. For Mother's Day I received a card with his hand prints and I marveled at my Heavenly Father's plan for him. I am so grateful for God's love for me and I stand all amazed!

I think you are the amazing one, Mom! I can't believe that anyone can grow a garden in this heat, let alone corn as high as an elephant's eye! We had so much fun canning! I bet that was quite the project moving all the jars onto the counter without dropping any of them!
Another amazing thing is that all of our jars sealed. Now when people ask me what I do all day (because I don't work) I can say, "I can."
Also, lovg = long. Sorry!
Momma, you're amazing! Look how busy you've been but still find time to hang out, watch kids/vt's, clean your house, and on and on. Hooray for them all sealing!!
Last night I was telling Ed about your new calling (Joleen told me). He asked "What did she do before?" I replied, "EVERYTHING! Elise can and does do everything." Your post just confirmed that again. That is a ton of applesauce and it all sealed! Woah! YOU are truly amazing! Love you sister.
I know all of those girls in the girls camp picture. Brittany is the funniest girl, and Becca was a really good friend of mine! You are lucky to have such fun girls! That was funny to look at your blog and recognize some of my school friends!
