I took a sabbatical leave. You may be sorry that I'm back because this is exceedingly long but pictures do follow. I've enjoyed pioneering through a catcus forest with Pueblo Stake's youth the first three days of the year on a pioneer trek. Don't get me started, I go on and on about it and cry a lot while remembering the many miracles and things I learned.
I knew it was past time to put away Christmas when Oakley found another use for the battery operated tea lights. As you can see, my kids are all still highly attractive. All of them are, not just those you see here. They bring me so much happiness.
Iowa's winter was another treat. My blood thickened fairly quickly, especially since I stayed inside pretty much all day long wearing three layers of poly pro and wool. I really can't see how people there actually go out in it. I was amazed that Jake would put out the garbage and shovel the walk in his scrubs before going to the hospital each morning at 6:30. This picture was taken just after Amy said it felt like Spring.
These kids have quite the traditions getting ready for bed, but before that, does anyone see the Donald resemblance in the teeth section? No teeth missing.
Caleb and Amy always wanted to have me make them in a mummy bag. I just thought Melissa would enjoy this shot of Caleb's pj top.
But before bed, there are wholesome family activities. Here is Parker doing "ring around the rosie," standing with his own strength.
And did you know that there are such things as Articles of Faith dances. Rules= those who are not dancing have to sing the Article of Faith song. Caleb and Amy perform # 6.
Their inspiration comes from this man. Here's Jake performing # 10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the ten tribes... it's so catchy, it's Jake's favorite and it is still stuck in my head. You have to dance in Iowa to get your exercise.
Here's the happy Iowa family. Aren't they so calm and cute.
Oops, I forgot one of my favorite Sunday activities was "dancing horsey." It was done to Sunday music, therefore it was Sunday appropriate.
