Sophia Ione Blue Jones

She's beautiful, her dad says! She'd have to be if she's anything like her mother. I personally think she must look like Beth because she is so beautiful. I don't know how my kids all turned out to be so good looking because when they were born they resembled lizards and then grew into a rather plump version of a naked mole rat. This little girl right here is a vast improvement over naked mole rats or lizards so, we're excited to see her true (or should I say Ione)personality bloom.
Sophia was born this morning at 2:57AM. She weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces, same as her dad at birth. She has long nails and eyelashes, (lucky!) and a fair amount of red hair. She showed her determination for acting dramatically by holding her breath and having the cord double wrapped around her neck when she first came on center stage, but she is here safe and sound. Yay! Parenting begins for Chris and Beth.

We are so excited to see pictures of little Sophia. And hopefully we'll all be together again (singing "All Together Again") soon so we can see her in person! I'm sure she is such a cute baby.

Thank you for all the well-wishes, prayers and love! Sophia is our little superstar. The attendant in the nursery was so tickled to see a kid with red hair, she must have talked to the delivery nurses as she came and found us afterward calling us "the little lawyer with tomatoes and the red-headed angel." After being up all night with her for the 3rd day in a row now, I think poor Beth has a few other choice words to describe her besides angel. Our little gal sure likes to be awake and look around a bunch. The picture we sent to mom was about the only time her eyes weren't open or she wasn't nursing, so we decided to get a picture of the historical moment.

Oh FYI for the Jones people. This Wednesday, Sept 5, we are going to be doing Daniel's temple work and I will be doing my own as well! So if you guys want to come, it's the 5 pm session. And we will be eating at Macaroni Grill afterwards, if you want to come.

p.s. I love that I can tell everyone this through blogs. Amazing.
