Spring Break in AZ brought visitors. We loved it! Stephanie, McKenna and Bryce paved the way for finding museums and good places to eat. Treehouse Museum is a fun one for interactive stuff. They did have an "Elise" doll that was just like the Madam Alexander doll I got for Christmas when I was ten, except mine wears a wedding gown.
Jones kids liked this museum too. Caleb and Amy said they wanted to go back. Maybe this summer!
Hair wreath museum was tricky with our specialized strollers, but seeing the two headed lamb and all of the hair creations was one of Natalie's favorites, um, maybe not. Huber Family Fair better watch out for the creation I'm planning when Mel's mustache comes off.
Mel felt like he was hiking Paria with this amazing quilt. The Church History Museum has some incredible art masterpieces.
Touring to top of the Conference Center, our tour guide said that one of the missionaries that taught his family in Florida many years ago was from Safford, AZ, a Sister Allred. He said that she had shiny legs because she wore nylon stockings. He rubbed them and was told that young men do not rub ladies legs.
Chase was so animated, continually. He was also helpful. He shared his lunch with Parker.
We loved Chris, Beth and Sophia joining us as often as they could. They even took a half day off work to visit the Museum, Tracy Aviary, and eat with us.
Right after this picture, Chase literally ran into David Archuleta. Neither seemed to be impressed by running into a celebrity.
We even toured Joe's Greenhouse. It is a pretty impressive operation.
The night before the Jones fam left, Chase peeked his head up through the doggie door, his favorite method of going in and out, and said, "I would like to come with you." Oh, man! How can that cute little face be refused?
My friends Alayne and Suann came for Relief Society Conference. Fun to see them. This is a random sampling of the March fun events.
"I would like to come with you." Thanks to all who came with! We loved it.
Little Melvie married his true love Elise. It has been 38 years now. We are more happy today than we ever could have imagined.

Grandma Jones is 90 today!
Happy Birthday Ione! I love to think about Grandma at 90. I bet she is having a great time. She is one of the most compassionate people I have ever known, even though I was a wee bit scared of her when I first met her. Maybe it was just her determined nature that intimidated me, but she taught me a lot about unconditional love and how to make sure you get all the Downy out of the jug. She is a great lady and I'm so happy to carry the name of Grandma Jones too.
Here's a pictorial view of our weekend tour and a glimpse of my Huber Family Fair contribution. Booked flights this morning so we can enjoy that event. Excitement!
Baby lambies...so cute. Then there was a huge llama on the hill. I wondered if it was a camel for a minute.
Water fall melting off the iceberg...
and bird nerds at the bird preserve.
See all the birds? Neither did we, but it was a very cool place.
Family Fair project, sanding & painting Grandma Huber's sewing machine cabinet.
And it's ready to go in the guest room that reminds us of Grandma Jones yellow. We're just waiting for guests to arrive.

Home & Garden Update
I put the primroses on the front porch. It snowed and blowed until the sweet little darlins' looked freeze dried. I brought them back inside again and they have thawed out. I wonder how many times I can put them out before they get to stay.
I love primroses because they are so bright and happy. Today, I painted my cedar chest and am thinking of recovering it so that it will look nice in the piano room. I'm gonna let it cure for a bit, antique it a little and put the hardware back on before taking it off the counter.
The snow melted off the back yard and I noticed tulips coming up. I am one excited girl, because I can have flowers like the olden days when this picture was taken. Another exciting thing is that I'm going to get to see these and the rest of our cute little darlins' soon. Can hardly wait! I love them because they are bright and happy too.

March right in here, Spring!
I love the calla lilies and pansies of Spring! I hope someone on Flossmoor is taking care of those that I planted so carefully. These two pictures are actually just a reminder to me that Spring really is coming soon. These are last year's flowers.
This year's crop are also going to be beautiful. I learned that pansies are sturdy to cold and wimpy to heat, so maybe that's why they only last through March in Arizona. Does this little pansy look helpless? Wayne said that they will do well and look more beautiful if they Winter over. Wish us luck!
Wayne also said that I could plant these primroses outside in a protected area. Well, my protected spot was on the front porch until the wind or the big bad wolf nearly blew the house down so I brought them inside. Snow dumped into the pot that I was going to put them in, so by tomorrow most of the snow should melt and I can pull out the dead geranium (no offense, Virginia) and plant the primroses.
Both of our vehicles sport new licence plates. So we are genuine Utards now. Personally, I can't wait for March to be done, because March is "mustache month" at the dental clinic and guess who is trying to recapture 1973? Yikes! Let's just hope and pray that he doesn't win for the "best" mustache or he'll have it for another month. He'd have to borrow somebody's van or ice cream truck and I'd be scared.
Hope you all have a wonderfully lucky March! Anyone want to come help with an Irish chain quilt?
